Hi, Iām Dr. Kaila mack.
I am a licensed CBT therapist specializing in the treatment of anxiety disorders, OCD, OC related disorders (e.g., hair pulling disorder, skin picking disorder), depression, and co-occurring conditions for youth and adults.
My treatment approach is guided by scientific research and more than 15 years of clinical experience. In my practice, I help patients to change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior to feel more centered in the present, connected to their values, and able to live the life they want.
Specific treatment strategies include exposure with response prevention, mindfulness and acceptance-based approaches, habit reversal therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, behavioral activation, and parent guidance (e.g., SPACE and PMT).
Prior to founding Centered CBT, I was a Staff Psychologist at the MGH Child CBT Program and Commonwealth Psychology Associates. I received my doctoral degree at the University of California in Santa Barbara. I completed my predoctoral internship at the University of Arizona Medical Center and my postdoctoral fellowship at the Yale Child Study Center.
